Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need gutters?
A properly installed gutter system will direct water away from fascia, soffit, siding, and foundation to prevent rot and soil erosion.
Where do I need gutters on my home?
Our experienced professional team will do a thorough inspection of your property to examine best placement of gutters and downspouts. General rule is any roof line that runs parallel to the ground could benefit from gutters.
Where would the downspouts be installed?
Downspouts should be positioned close to corners and every 25-30 linear feet depending on the length of the section of gutter. Every house is unique, landscaping and many other factors can dictate placement of downspouts as well.
What are some of the available options for my gutters?
The industry standard for most residential properties is 5" k-style seamless aluminum gutter system with 2x3" downspouts. There are options to upgrade to a larger gutter (6") and downspout (3x4"). We also provide a half round option with round downspouts.
How often should I clean my gutters?
This will all depend on the time of year and how many trees on your property. If trees are tall enough (above the gutters) and leaves are on the ground, you can assume they are in your gutters as well. We recommend considering an annual professional inspection to ensure your gutters are clean and function properly. Installing a leaf screen on top of your gutters will reduce the amount of maintenance required. Call us today for a free no-obligation inspection today.
